The Liebherr crane uses the latest modern technology to deliver safe and efficient lifting with amazing precision.
Unique to the Liebherr crane is the LICCON On-Board Work Planner, incorporating a software programme for planning, simulation and documentation of crane applications on a single monitor within the crane cab.

with the technologically advanced LICCON On-Board Work Planner.
- The Liccon Work Planner consists of a software program for planning, simulation and documentation of crane applications on the monitor within the crane cab.
- The 2D planner allows the drawings of buildings, writing of text and the representation of a true to scale crane model including its entire motions within a fictional construction site.
- The Work Planner facilitates the briefing of operators and other site personnel when run from a lap-top at the construction site.
The benefits of the Liccon working area:
- The system assists the operator in many obvious ways but especially when handling a difficult lift.
- It does this allowing for full operator attention on the task at hand by monitoring work area limitations, as the working area can be impeded by many obstacles, buildings, power-lines other plant and machinery (the list goes on).
- The Liccon system gradually brings the jib to a halt
- Without the need for complicated programming, the system allows for high flexibility in setting work area limitations.
The Liccon working area limitation allows for four different types of limitation functions and the overlapping of these functions:
- The Pulley Head Height Limitations
- Radius Limitations
- Slewing Angle Limitations
- Border Limitation
Each of these limitations can be either activated independently or simultaneously. The ability of the limitations types to be overlapped allows for complex working area limitations to be correlated and described.
IF ANY FUNCTION REQUIRES OVER-RIDING IT MUST BE DE-ACTIVATED
The Simulation program within the system allows for the simulation of any crane movement on the screen. The 2D planner uses a scale model as a simulator which is able to move on a grid.
In summary the Liccon System exclusive to the Liebherr cranes permits meticulous planning of the crane operation and its applications via realistic simulations prior to implementing any lifting procedure.
